Toddler Room for Eli!

As we have gotten ready for Riley's arrival, we have moved Eli to a bigger room (hoping he will enjoy playing in there!). With moving him, I thought it would be fun to give him a more toddler like room. It's been fun having him wake up and saying all the animals on his wall. Shortly i plan on doing the elephant in chalk paint, but as of now, Eli is SO not ready for the responsibility of drawing on a specific place on the wall!

Eli has gotten so verbal and it has been a blast! He can say many "nacks" (snacks) that he loves to eat, he is very particular about what type of things he wants even down to the type of sippy cup he is in the mode for. He would chose to eat oatmeal every morning, and most mornings he does! He also LOVES honey! He still has no idea about what is about to rock his world- his baby brother. While I think there will be many sweet moments of them together, I do fear for the safety of Riley because of Eli's great passion for throwing everything!! It could be interesting!

We are so excited to meet our second little boy! If Riley chooses to not come early, thankfully the doctor promised me she wouldn't make me have an other 9 pound 5 ouncer so Riley will be induced July 9th!

Ice Storm= Stir Crazy!

I don't know about you guys, but we went a little stir crazy this ice storm! So needless to say, we played in it a little (and by we i mean Brandt and Eli). Eli certainly enjoyed daddy being at home more than usual!

Eli is growing and changing lots. His new favorite thing is to CLIMB! On everything and anything. He is quickly learning how to climb on one thing and then on the next, i.e. dining room chair on to the table. I have very much felt the experience of how girls and boys just play differently!

He really has been a blast! We were having lots of fun inside while i made funny noises. He was actually in tears he was laughing so hard!

The New Year brings LOTS of New Things!

Thought I would make it goal this year to be more diligent about this blog. Lots has changed for the Booram house hold... as usual right? Well since September Eli is now OFFICIALLY a toddler. He is almost 30 pounds and is 33 1/2 inches tall. Staying right at the lovely 95%. He loves cars, pushing them, pulling them, throwing them off of stairs, and making the Voom Voom sound as he watches them drive away. His favorite word right now is by far "HI!" He says it in the greatest high pitched little voice and it is usually always accompanied by a big smile. Even though there have been times of him saying it at 3am it still makes me laugh. He is also loving the snow.

Even though he has been sick with a bad cough and cold for about a month now, he has gotten some time in there to play! Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Bri even took him sledding!

For those who don't know yet, I am no longer doing hair and have joined InterVarsity Staff as an administrative assistant for one of the Great Lakes West Regional Directors. Also I back in school finishing up my Bachelors. Also, come July 16th Eli will officially be a big brother!!!

We are thrilled about our new addition to our family! I think Eli will be a great big brother. He is already giving kisses to my belly and saying and waving, "HI!".
